Every school year, the Los Compadres PTO invests more than $200 per student to provide enriching programs, educational resources, and memorable experiences that aren't funded by the school district.

Your donation helps make Longfellow the vibrant, connected community our students love.

Where your donation goes

Annual Giving provides the foundation for everything we do throughout the year, including:

• Classroom stipends for every teacher and staff member
• Field trips
• Art Corps
• San Diego Youth Science (SDYS)
• STEM lessons and educational enrichment programs
• Classroom resources like IXL, Raz-Plus, and Scholastic Spanish magazines
• Garden and cooking education
• Community events including Day at the Bay, Movie Night, Día de los Muertos, and the Welcome Back Potluck
• Student programs like Running Club
• 5th & 8th Grade Promotion celebrations
• Campus beautification and improvement projects
• ‍Teacher Appreciation Week and staff appreciation throughout the year
• Cone Zone Safety Program
• TK-1 Bike program
